On Friday 28 September 2007 my wife and I drove down to Hale in the New Forest where we had booked a holiday cottage for a week. It was already getting dark as we arrived and we were looking forward to exploring the area which I had not visited for 38 years, so it was all new really. *Our holiday cottage near Hale*	*Pigs foraging for acorns* Saturday 29 September 2007 A short walk from the Bolderwood car park - 4 km

Thursday 4 October 2007 Telegraph Hill to Fritham circuit - 8 km *Cob-web catching the morning dew*	*Cedar in the grounds of Hale House* On Friday 5 October we had to drive home. The weather was fine, warm and sunny with blue skies. The traffic was light and we made it to our home in five and a half hours after a lovely week in the New Forest despite some dreary weather at the start.
