Owhanake Bay on Waiheke

The catamaran ferry takes about 40 minutes from Aukland and many people commute by ferry to work in Aukland - there's a huge carpark at the ferry terminal in Matiatia Bay. We walked the path between Matiatia Bay and Owhanake Bay with lots of steep headlands to cross. It was very hot, but the scenery was amzing with bright sunshine, brilliant blue sea and all kinds of exotic trees & shrubs along the rocky shoreline. We ended up at Oneroa Bay and spent some time on the beach before making our way back across the island to the ferry.
